2020 - 2023

At Kibo Commerce I was a Senior Program Manager leading 2 teams of engineers to support World Market and several other clients with product feature enhancements of the MarketLive eCommerce platform and Kibo Commerce platform.

World Market was one of KIBO's top 3 clients. They were still using KIBO's old eCommerce platform MarketLive which was being sunset and replaced by KIBO's new eCommerce platform. However due to Covid and other market conditions, World Market needed support to stay on MarketLive for several years until they could migrate to a new eCommerce platform.

I led the team that maintained their site on MarketLive, adding new features and functionality to support their eCommerce business. We were the only team still actively developing new features on this platform pushing it's design and architecture beyond its limits. Our support helped keep World Market generating over 150 million in ARR between 2020 - 2023.

Proactiv

Immediately after my team took over support for this client, I conducted a customer interview with their CIO and he informed me of challenges they were having with the customer subscription module implementation. At the time this module was built for them as a custom feature on the KIBO platform specifically for them.

 

We collaborated on diagnosing the issues they were seeing and new features to add to the module to help them resolve the challenges they were facing and devised a 3 prong strategy to address it:

  1. Fast fixes to help improve functionality and results.

  2. Redesign the subscription management module.

  3. Integrate the new module design into the core KIBO platform product.

​

Proactiv's subscription business grew by 20% and KIBO sold the newly integrated subscription module to 5 more customers in the 1st year since releasing it. Read more here:

M&Ms

Candy Designer

M&Ms needed help updating their custom built candy designer feature due to customer complaints that it was no longer functioning properly and costing sales opportunities. Custom candy design sales amounted to a significant portion of online sales for M&Ms.

 

After a consultation with my team, we determined that some of the user flow in the design processes needed to be updated to support changes that were made to our eCommerce product that impacted this feature's functionality. 

​

We were able to update the user flow and add some additional features that M&Ms requested to make the feature even better than it was before and helping M&Ms to recover their custom candy design sales.
